Online Social Networking, Podcasts and Blogging: The Cocktails are Virtual But the Contacts Create Business

In this session, we will explore:

I.  On Social Networking:

What does it mean when we say social media and how it can assist your business.

–We will enumerate the reasons a small business could use social networking to build contacts and promote relationships that lead to sales.

–We will explore the benefits and downsides of Facebook, Linked In, Xing, Plaxo Pulse, and other specialty sites.  We will review questions to ask, who to invite, how to be active, and what is the etiquette?

—We will look at what expanding feature sets are useful and how to look at other people’s pages to leverage information.

—Lastly, should you be advertising to these audiences?

We will look at several examples of what can work.
