TransCommerce Suite 2.0 Released
(June 4, 2001)--Lexington, Ky.—TransDigital Solutions, Inc.
has unveiled its TransCommerce Suite 2.0 to offer turnkey
ecommerce integration for commercial, government and education
markets. The TransCommerce Suite 2.0, based on an Active Server
Pages format, takes a modular approach to ecommerce
functionality. Available web-based components encompass: vendor
management, human resources management, emarketing, online
payment methods, customer relationship management, inventory
tracking and control, and real-time reporting. The integrated
development of an ecommerce environment found in TransCommerce
Suite 2.0 allows the creation of a virtual community through a
portal approach. All levels of users see only the areas that
apply directly to their needs, and access is achieved through a
simple-to-use interface. Interactions are trackable, archived,
and allow for a high level of customer care. TransCommerce Suite
2.0 provides on-demand data recovery, and full administrative
power to segment activities with security clearances.
New product features include: (1) a multi-tiered approach to
customizing account offerings, (2) returned merchandise
authorization, and (3) unique shipping rules/permissions
tailored to each client. Comprehensive administrative reporting
is now built-in.
TransCommerce Suite 2.0 uses proven architecture used in
implementing other scaleable ecommerce sites, including Cardinal
Office Supplies, New England Office Supply, and other clients.
The product supports a seamless system operating in a relational
methodology, according to TransDigital Project Manager Patrick
Dotson. “A site can be brought online in a matter of hours, if
necessary and enhanced with selected modules at our client’s
discretion,” he said.
For TransDigital clients working with under 10,000 catalog
items, an applications service provider solution is offered. A
hosted environment offered through TransDigital would afford
easy upgrades, maintenance, and administration when necessary to
add new data.
Industry consultants, such as Gartner Group, indicate that B2B
ecommerce will reach $919 billion in 2001 and $1.9 trillion in
2002. “While there are a number of firms in the Kentuckiana
market offering variations of web development, customized
software, and consulting on ecommerce, TransDigital offers a
unique mix of responsiveness and personalized service tied to
ready-to-go integration,” Dotson said. TransDigital Solutions
works primarily in the Microsoft NT environment for small to
medium-sized growing enterprises.
Lexington, Ky.-based TransDigital Solutions develops, hosts, and
